Sandy Beach

Casa Paco Playa is a beach restaurant on the Paseo Marítimo de Playamar in Torremolinos, part of the Casa Paco family business founded in 1968. The dining room has a modern look, and the grill works outside, facing the sea.

The kitchen cooks traditional seaside food over coals: sardine espetos made the old way, fresh fish and seafood, prawns, rice dishes, homemade stews and grilled meats, with seasonal menus and off-menu suggestions. In front, the restaurant has its own loungers with parasols on the first line of the beach, and staff serve drinks, tapas and full dishes directly to the sunbeds. Playamar is one of the four official beaches of Torremolinos, with dark sand along the seafront promenade.

Playamar

Playamar is a dark-sand urban beach in Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol, lying between Los Álamos and El Bajondillo. The municipal listing gives it a length of 1,106 metres and a width of 50 metres, and the waves here are usually weak. Sunbeds can be hired, there is a shaded area, pedal boats and other water sports are available, and lifeguards are on duty in the bathing season.

Facilities include toilets, an adapted toilet, showers and footbaths, an accessible shower, a drinking water point and accessible parking, and assisted bathing with amphibious chairs is offered to people with reduced mobility. Behind the beach runs the seafront promenade with chiringuitos, shops and hotels, including the Playamar towers, and Avenida Benyamina leads up to the town centre.
