  • Chiringuito La Cepa Playa is a family-run beach restaurant on the Paseo Marítimo Rey de España in Fuengirola, opposite Hotel Leonardo. It has been open since 1959 and is now run by the fourth generation of the family. The kitchen is known for sardine espetos grilled on the cane, fried fish and rice dishes, from paella to arroz de carabineros and seafood rice.

On the beach, waiters serve the chiringuito's own plot of sunbeds, so drinks and food reach the loungers. Indoors there is a large, bright dining room with sea views, and outside a big terrace sits on the beachfront with comfortable seating. A 24-hour car park on Plaza Andrés López Yebra lies across the road.

    Playa de San Francisco

Playa de San Francisco is a small urban beach of dark sand in Fuengirola, on the Costa del Sol, set beside the town's sports port. It is about 350 metres long, and the water has low waves.

Sunbeds, umbrellas and towels are for hire, and water-sports equipment and boats can be rented on the beach. Waiters bring food and drinks to the sand, and there is a chiringuito. Lifeguards are on duty in the high season, and there are showers and toilets. Access is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Behind the beach runs the seafront promenade, linking it to Los Boliches with its bars, cafés and shops; parking nearby is paid by the hour, and the town's main bus route passes close by.
