Chiringuito El Lotero is a traditional beach bar and seafood restaurant on the Paseo Marítimo Rey de España, in the El Carvajal area of Fuengirola. It stands right beside the beach, with an outdoor terrace looking over the Mediterranean, and cooks the classics of the Costa del Sol: sardine espetos, fried fish, shellfish, and rice dishes including arroz caldoso, black rice and paella marinera. The entire menu is suitable for people with coeliac disease.

Carvajal Beach lies on the border between Fuengirola and Benalmádena. Its sand is dark and mixed with gravel and pebbles, the water is generally still, and rows of colourful parasols are available to rent through the summer. The beach has toilets and showers, and the Carvajal seafront behind it is lined with beach bars and restaurants.
