Sandy Beach

Chiringuito Rafael is a seafood beach bar on the promenade at Playa Fuente de la Salud in Benalmádena, just west of the Torremolinos border. It sits directly on the sand, with outdoor tables facing the Mediterranean and a bright interior arranged around a large serving bar.

The kitchen works mainly with fish and shellfish: grilled sardine espetos, prawns, squid, red mullet and fish of the day, alongside salads such as Russian salad and fish served with alioli. Desserts, beer and coffee round off lunch. Sunbeds can be reserved on the beach in front of the restaurant, and the venue is wheelchair accessible. East of the chiringuito, the sand continues into La Carihuela in Torremolinos, with the seafront promenade running along both beaches.

Playa Fuente de la Salud

Playa Fuente de la Salud is a short urban beach of fine, dark sand at the eastern end of Benalmádena Costa, between Puerto Marina and Torremolinos. The swell is usually moderate. Sunloungers and parasols can be hired, a sailing club and several water sports operate from the beach, and chiringuitos and restaurants line the sand.

Showers, footbaths and public toilets are provided, access is adapted for people with reduced mobility, and there is parking close by. Behind the beach, palm trees and planted areas border a seafront promenade where street artists often build sand sculptures. The jetty of Puerto Marina closes the beach's western end, and the marina beyond it has shops, restaurants and an aquarium.
