Parque Marítimo César Manrique

4.8

Plenty of free parking spaces and a large, spacious park. There’s a restaurant inside, and for €15 you get entry plus two sunbeds, which is a great deal. The water is unfortunately quite cold, but the place is clean and well-maintained, including the toilets. Overall, a nice spot to relax and spend a few hours.

Parque Marítimo César Manrique is the ultimate spot to unwind in Santa Cruz — a stunning complex of seawater pools designed by the famous Canarian artist himself. With bright white walls, volcanic rock, and turquoise water framed by palm trees, it feels more like a tropical resort than a public pool. We spent a blissful few hours here swimming, relaxing on sunbeds, and enjoying the ocean breeze with views of the harbour and the Auditorio in the distance. There are separate shallow areas for kids, lifeguards on duty, and plenty of space to stretch out — it’s clean, calm, and beautifully maintained. It’s amazing value for such a gorgeous setting, and the atmosphere is relaxed, local, and family-friendly. A perfect way to spend a sunny day in the city — part art, part beach club, and all relaxation. On our most recent visit, only 2 of the pools were open due to renovation works. We still had a lot of fun!

Parque Marítimo is an absolutely stunning aquatic complex, celebrated for its huge, beautifully designed saltwater pools by César Manrique. The aesthetic appeal is unmatched, making it perfect for sunbathing and relaxation. However, be warned: the facility offers very little to do beyond swimming. There are no slides, thrills, or organized activities. It’s ideal for a quiet, tranquil day trip, but those looking for action or entertainment may find it dull.

Wonderful place, we found this accidentally while visiting the North. The pools are absolutely massive! Great little bar in the center for refreshments and food. We paid €7.50 for a day ticket including beds. We worth a visit when in Santa Cruz.

A lovely and peaceful park in the center of Santa Cruz. We visited in the afternoon and really enjoyed the shaded paths, tropical plants, and calm atmosphere. The place is very clean and well maintained. There are lots of benches, beautiful fountains, and even a small café for a quick coffee. What really stood out were the amazing public swimming pools nearby – very clean, spacious, and perfect for cooling off on a hot day. Great for both adults and kids. A perfect mix of nature and relaxation right in the city. Highly recommended if you’re spending time in Santa Cruz!
