Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje

Perched dramatically on the cliffs of Playa Paraíso, the Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adejeis more than just a hotel—it’s designed to feel like a traditional Canarian village. Instead of a single imposing block, the resort features staggered, colorful buildings and lush gardens that wind down the hillside, creating an intimate, authentic atmosphere.

The crown jewel of the property is undoubtedly itsclifftop infinity pool. From the water’s edge, you get an uninterrupted, "edge-of-the-world" view of the Atlantic Ocean and the neighboring island of La Gomera. It is arguably one of the best sunset spots in Tenerife. What makes it truly unique?

  • Bahia Principe Village: The resort features its own town square shared with its sister hotel. This vibrant hub mimics a local plaza, complete with shops, live music, a disco, and a karaoke bar, ensuring the "village" vibe continues long after the sun goes down.
  • Cycling Paradise:It holds a Silver-levelCycling Friendly certification, offering specialized services like custom routes, a professional repair shop, and secure storage, making it a hidden gem for active travelers.
  • Cliffside Dining: You can enjoy themed dinners (ranging from Brazilian rodizio to traditional Mexican) while suspended over the ocean.

Whether you’re there for the "Bahia Scouts" kids' program or a romantic cocktail by the infinity pool, the hotel perfectly blends the rugged beauty of Tenerife’s volcanic coastline with the charm of a Spanish pueblo.

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje for a week at the end of November 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel room was very clean, with towels changed every day and beds made daily, which was much appreciated. There was a great selection of food in the buffet-style restaurant, offering plenty of choice throughout our stay. We also booked the Mexican restaurant for one evening, and it was very nice — a lovely change and well worth it. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, which really added to our overall experience. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk into town, making it easy to explore the area. The pools and facilities are excellent and well maintained. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. We will definitely be back.

Just arrived back after a weeks away ..There is nothing that I can complain about this hotel for a winter break. It was amazing a very relaxing place to go if you do not want to do too much. The pool areas and Infinity pool are outstanding and the views are beautiful. The staff were really good and they were all very happy and helpful. Lots of variety of foods so there is always something to choose from the hotel will be closing next week for a refurbishment So I'm sure it will be even better . I would be happy to go again 😀

Third or fourth time back at this great hotel. Love it for some winter sun we have an eight year old and there is always something going on to entertain her which is fantastic. Also Alacarte restaurants are great but the buffet restaurant is one of the best I've been too always something there that you will like and I can be a fusspot with them. Only couple of negatives I'd give is 1. the checkin length of time which took a bit longer than it should. 2. Not allowed lilo's in the pool even the spring floats that are usually allowed all over the world 😭

Lovely resort with lovely staff. With great entertainment, especially DJ Mark! We did have a toilet that didn’t flush, after a few days, but aside from our room that needed a little maintenance the whole experience was great. Also the whole hotel will close in a week for refurbishing, so that’ll be non issue. Food was also very good with some good variety, only the red wine was not it. The rest of the option were good though.

Spend our holiday here last week and it was a lovely experience. The staff is very friendly and the food is great for an all inclusive. Unfortunately a lot of the facilities we're under renovation such as the tennis court. The restaurant has a lot of flavorful options to choose from. The menu changes every day but still keeps their basics so there's something to choose for everyone. Only comment on the restaurant we could make is that the descriptions of the food is wrong a lot of the times. While filling up the foodtrays they often switch around the trays with food in them to different locations while not adjusting the food labels. We have no allergies so it's no issue for us but it could be dangerous if people do. As for the rooms. They're very spacious and comfortable. The cleaning staff do their work very good. Only be careful if you have a room on the ground floor. The cleaning staff often left our balcony door unlocked after cleaning so people could have entered our room from the balcony and stolen our stuff. Luckily we didn't lose anything. The location is very quiet which is nice if you're looking to relax. There's a busstop nearby the hotel which busses drive from and to every 30 min from monday to saturdays. On sundays they drive once an hour. Overall our experience at the hotel has been great and we will surely come back.
